Difference Between Perforated And Non-Perforated Film
Choosing between perforated and non-perforated film depends on your specific packaging needs and the type of items you are sealing. Both types of film have their own advantages and can be selected based on the desired outcome for your packaging process.
Perforated Film
Perforated film is ideal for items like soap, baked goods, or produce where some breathability is desired to maintain freshness. It features tiny pinholes that help prevent ballooning by allowing trapped air to escape from sealed packages. This makes the shrinking process more efficient, as it eliminates the need to manually squeeze out air from your sealed packages. Once the film has shrunk, the perforations are not easily visible as these are micro perforations that are not visible to the naked eye.
Non-Perforated Film
Non-perforated film does not have any pinholes or micro holes. This type of film is ideal for applications where a completely airtight seal is desired. It can provide a smooth, clear finish without any visible perforations, making it suitable for packaging items where appearance is crucial, such as large boxes, books, beauty products, and electronics.
